The A's won the second in their three game series with the Royals, again stiffling KC's offense. Parker's stat line looks identical to Colon's and he picked up the W thanks to a Randy Velarde triple leading to a run in the eighth. Poor James Shields pitched wonderfully, but still got stuck with the L. Emilo Bonifacio is the lone brightspot for a KC offense that has 11 hits through two games, with still zero runs scored.
